Charwell House, based in Alton, provides a convenient serviced office space, boardroom/meeting room hire and virtual office services for companies of various sizes, from one-person start-ups to divisions of international companies.

The building provides an effective central hub for office space, phone call management, deliveries and meetings. Marketing Manager Amanda Muir says, “the serviced office space is a good stepping stone for small businesses”.

As well as managed office space and virtual office services, they provide a mail forwarding service which provides a convenient, professional business address. Office Manager Sue Petas says, “It works well for companies to have a business address outside of home. For home based start-ups in particular it’s a great way to protect your private address”.

Recruitment consultants, web designers, charities and accountants are among the types of businesses to have used the office space at Charwell House. The offices have secured 24/7 access, so clients can use the facilities during evenings and weekends. There is free parking on site and shared social and kitchen areas.

On working in East Hampshire, Amanda Muir says, “We have some great transport links here and we’re a five-minute walk from a mainline railway station that links directly to Waterloo. Alton itself is a good residential area so a lot of business staff live locally”.
